Not long after the death toll from the coronavirus pandemic hit 300,000 dead human beings, Senator Marco Rubio discovered a Glamour interview in which Joe Biden’s campaign manager suggested that he and the rest of the Republicans are “a bunch of f—ers.” Rubio, of course, tweeted about it, suggesting that Biden is a hypocrite after calling for unity, and the right-wing outrage machine kicked into high gear.

Rubio was responding to an interview with Jennifer O’Malley Dillon, who has now been tapped to be White House deputy chief of staff and reportedly has a bit of a habit of using the cuss words. In talking about the idea of compromise across the aisle and whether that can ever be achieved again, she praised Biden for at least desiring compromise as an ideal even if Republicans will never play ball again.
“The president-elect was able to connect with people over this sense of unity,” said Dillon. “In the primary, people would mock him, like, ‘You think you can work with Republicans?’ I’m not saying they’re not a bunch of f—ers. Mitch McConnell is terrible. But this sense that you couldn’t wish for that, you couldn’t wish for this bipartisan ideal? He rejected that.”

After years of Republicans blocking anything former President Barack Obama tried to do and then electing Donald Trump, many have indeed given up on the idea that unity between the two parties is possible. However, like Biden, plenty still wish that it was and would be willing to try if only the right-wing party would play ball.
Unfortunately, well, what Dillon said.

Several Republicans have taken up the call to outrage and, according to Axios, some unnamed Democratic “donors” have called for Dillon to apologize. However, others on the left have rejected the idea that Dillon did anything wrong, especially after four years of Donald Trump saying “bulls—” constantly at rallies to cheers from his fans. Not to mention the attacks that didn’t include bad words and also seemed to incite things like when those guys plotted to kidnap and murder the governor of Michigan.
Also, remember when Marco Rubio implied that Donald Trump has a small penis? Or when Trump said “grab them by the p—y” and was elected president anyway?

With this in mind, the comments on Rubio’s tweet are full of people calling him a massive hypocrite and pointing out all the things he should be outraged about instead of a swear.
“It’s amazing that being called a bad word seems to be worse in your mind than 4 years of one party consistently enabling racists, pursuing xenophobic policies, and caging children,” said one commenter.
“You supported a man who said the 2nd amendment people could ‘take care of’ Hillary Clinton,” wrote actress Patricia Arquette. “Sit down Marco.”
