The Trump campaign to overturn the 2020 election results was dealt a devastating blow Tuesday when the U.S. Supreme Court denied a motion to stop the state of Pennsylvania from certifying its election results. With the date of the Electoral College vote looming, this was widely considered a last-ditch attempt by Trump and his floundering and COVID-stricken legal team to snag the outgoing president a second term.

The Supreme Court decision was issued with comments from dissenters, assuming there were any, or reasoning on why they were declining to hear the campaign’s arguments.

Adding salt to the wound, the decision came down just an hour after Trump retweeted a post by Twitter account “Major Patriot” saying that “Trump’s inspired massive MAGA tsunami turnout forced them to cheat so big they lost their minds in a fraud frenzy.” It’s assumed that “them” refers to Democrats.

The tweet included a photo of Justice Amy Coney Barrett with some kind of demonic eye shine and also attributed a quote to Trump that he may or may not have actually spoken but clearly enjoyed reading.
“They got caught because we were leading by so much more than they ever thought possible,” wrote Trump in his quote tweet. “Late night ballot ‘dumps’ went crazy!”
The challenge rejected by the nation’s highest court was challenging a measure put in place by Pennsylvania Republicans in 2019 to allow for universal mail-in ballots. The state supreme court also rejected the challenge, saying it was filed too late as it only became an issue to Republicans after it was clear that Trump lost the state.
The Trump campaign tried to justify taking the issue to the federal Supreme Court by saying it had nationwide implications and accusing the state court of denying them due process. They therefore asked that all votes cast by mail throughout the country be invalidated or that the court throw out the results of the election altogether.

“Petitioners ask this court to undertake one of the most dramatic, disruptive invocations of judicial power in the history of the Republic,” said the lawyers representing Pennsylvania’s response. “No court has ever issued an order nullifying a governor’s certification of presidential election results.”
Apparently, even installing Barrett to the high court (and possibly imbuing her with demon energy) wasn’t enough to save Trump.
