Donald Trump is now apparently attacking anyone who is willing to admit that Joe Biden will take his place as president in January, including outlets in the middle of trashing Biden. On Saturday, Trump quote tweeted a New York Post opinion piece panning Steven Colbert’s recent interview of the president-elect as a “joke,” claiming Colbert went too easy on him.

In spite of the New York Post’s increasing support of Trump and the article being blatantly anti-Biden, the soon-to-be-ex-president still managed to scold the outlet for admitting that Biden won the 2020 election.

“He didn’t win the Election. He lost all 6 Swing States, by a lot,” Trump wrote. “They then dumped hundreds of thousands of votes in each one, and got caught. Now Republican politicians have to fight so that their great victory is not stolen. Don’t be weak fools!”

This tweet, along with plenty of others over the weekend, got flagged with Twitter’s new presidential disclaimer: “Election officials have certified Joe Biden as the winner of the U.S. presidential election.”

The article was written by the New York Post Editorial Board and accused Colbert of setting “a new record for wet media kisses delivered to Joe Biden.” The Post evidently thinks that Colbert should have pushed Biden on the details of the baseless conspiracy theories around his son Hunter.

The New York Post is classified as a conservative-leaning tabloid and is owned by a company founded by Rupert Murdoch. In October, the outlet “broke” the dead-end Hunter Biden laptop story that only named Rudy Giuliani and Steve Bannon as sources. Over the years, the Post has been widely accused of flimsy reporting and racism, including the time they linked Rep. Ilhan Omar to the 9/11 terrorist attacks and got banned from some New York bodegas.

The tabloid has also been increasingly supportive of Trump over the past four years, but of course, it’s never enough. The outgoing president spent the rest of the weekend tweeting more baseless claims about election fraud and attacking Georgia Governor Brian Kemp for not bending to his will.
