
Even though coronavirus seems to be circulating through the White House on every breeze, Donald Trump keeps holding his beloved super spreader events.

His followers don’t seem to mind. In fact, they’re willing to pay top dollar to attend mask-less events in COVID-19 hotspots, like Florida. On New Year’s Eve, Mar-a-Lago hosted Trump’s party. A party he never showed up to, according to The Daily Beast, who wrote that Trump returned to D.C. suddenly on Thursday.

While no ticket holders got to hobnob with their deteriorating king, there were some people there who they might recognize from the news: Rep. Matt Gaetz, Donald Trump Jr. with his girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle, Eric and Lara Trump, Rudy Giuliani, MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, Singer Taylor Dayne, and fashion designer Oscar Lopez.
Truly, an A-list group of D-listers.

Even more absurd were the musical guests, who included the 1970s band Berlin, The Beach Boys, and….Vanilla Ice.

Don Jr. was absolutely thrilled to be so close to his hero, and streamed the moment live on Facebook with the caption, “Ok this is amazing. Vanilla Ice is playing the Mar-a-Lago New Years Eve party. As a child of the 90s you can’t fathom how awesome that is. Beyond that I got the birthday shoutout so that’s pretty amazing.”
Guests were supposedly told that the president would show, according to CNN, but he never did. However, close to 500 people did and you better believe they did not social distance.

This violates Palm Beach County’s rules requiring facial coverings inside. There was a one a.m. curfew that night, in an attempt to slow down the viral partiers, but it’s unclear if things got broken up or not. It is clear that if there’s a new coronavirus mutation in Florida, we should probably swab Vanilla Ice’s mic first.
