The attack on the Capitol wasn’t exactly a surprise — Trump’s baseless insistence on a “fraudulent” election and the incendiary rhetoric he constantly used to rile his supporters up were always leading to something like this. But that the House of Representatives actually went ahead and impeached the president for the role he played wasn’t on most people’s 2021 bingo card.

The 232 to 197 ruling to impeach Trump for a second time makes him officially the most impeached president in the history of the United States. Half of our country’s impeachments have been Trump. He will go down in history books as a complete failure, a stain on our country, and perhaps even a treasonous traitor should he ultimately be removed by the Senate.
This is obviously a big deal. All eyes were glued to the television, to Twitter, or a news site yesterday, refreshing feeds to see how this was all going to play out. And when all was said and done, everyone had at least a thought or two on this historic impeachment, including celebrities.
