Trump’s Historic Second Impeachment Brings Out The Twitter Memes

President Trump made history on Wednesday after becoming the very first president in the history of the United States to be impeached twice. To make things even more “special,” as Trump himself would say to rioters storming a government building on his behalf, this last one was the most bipartisan impeachment ever, seeing 10 Republicans in the House of Representatives break rank and vote alongside the Democrats.

While Trump and his supporters have maintained that he has been treated “unfairly” during his presidency and the subject of constant “witch hunts,” in reality, there’s been a shocking failure to hold him and those in his administration accountable when it comes to maintaining any sort of norms, standards, ethics, etc. That was emphasized by last week’s siege on the Capitol, and makes it even more amazing that this impeachment actually went through.
