Actress Mocked For Asking To Be Removed From Films If They Take Trump Out Of “Home Alone 2”

Have you heard of Kristy Swanson? Not too many people had before she made a name for herself with an incredible self-own of a tweet requesting that she be removed from multiple movies in response to people joking that Donald Trump should be taken out of Home Alone 2. Just an amazing set up by an actress who hasn’t had much of a career since her portrayal of Buffy the Vampire Slayer in 1992.

Since then, she has made a number of brief cameos as characters like “Christie Boner” in Dude, Where’s My Car? Still, Swanson apparently thinks herself relevant enough to tweet this:

If Cancel Culture is really going to have Donald J. Trump removed from the John Hughes movie “Home Alone,” then in support of MY PRESIDENT, I’d like to have myself officially removed from the John Hughes’ films, “Pretty In Pink” and “Ferris Buhler’s Day Off.”

“If Cancel Culture is really going to have Donald J. Trump removed from the John Hughes movie ‘Home Alone,’ then in support of MY PRESIDENT, I’d like to have myself officially removed from the John Hughes’ films, ‘Pretty In Pink’ and ‘Ferris Buhler’s Day Off,'” she wrote.

The reaction to this demand has been rather agreeable, with many people expressing that they would be more than fine with this tradeoff, if they’re not simply saying “who are you?”

Swanson has been an avid Trump supporter for years now, posting a photo of herself standing beside him in the Oval Office in March 2020. She has also shared many tweets promoting the false conspiracy theory that Democrats stole the 2020 election from Trump even after the events at the Capitol on January 6.

She certainly has plenty of time for tweeting as she hasn’t worked in any movie or TV show with a broadly recognizable title since 2014. It must sting that the only way she can find to be relevant now is to set herself up for jokes like these:
