AMC Fight Nights saw Alibeg Rasulov face off against Mikhail Turkanov in Sochi earlier this week. When Turkanov de-robed, the swastikas and other Nazi imagery covering his chest became visible, shocking viewers who weren’t expecting an encounter with a probably Nazi in their sporting entertainment.

People who were hoping for a quick takedown of Turkanov and his tattoos were not disappointed. Within three minutes and four seconds, Rasulov had been declared the winner.

Seeing anyone who errs on the side of being pro-Nazi getting their ass handed to them always seems to be something the internet enjoys, and seeing it happen in a contained environment rather than, say, on the street, didn’t change that.

However, there were also frustrations that Turkanov was being given a platform and presumably money to showcase symbols of hate.

But that didn’t stop others from coming out with the jokes.

We should’ve left Nazis and all their hateful symbolism back in the 1940s, but maybe we can at least try to leave them behind this decade. Or at least stop paying them to be on TV.
