Yesterday in Atlanta, a white man went to multiple spas, shooting employees. Six of his victims were Asian women. This horrific act was yet another in a series of violent acts against people of Asian descent across the U.S., which have been on the rise, particularly under Donald Trump’s presidency.

Trump and his administration fanned anti-Asian sentiment with rhetoric blaming China for the pandemic, often referring to it as the “china virus” and the “kung flu.”
