“Dear Neighbors in 9S,” it begins, “Girl, do everyone a favor and dump him. We don’t need to be woken up one more time at 2AM because he can’t be an adult and hold his s—t together.”
The anonymous author goes on to complain about “slamming doors, stomping feet, and the worst part — hearing his whiney ass voice yell “what the f—ck.”
Most of us have probably had neighbors that make a habit of having petty arguments in the middle of the night, and know how deeply unpleasant it is. But the note leaver clearly reached their breaking point.
“You were right to hit him with an ironing board two years ago. Your new dog deserves better. Just BREAK. UP. ALREADY,” the note continues. “Please allow us to go at least one month without being woken up in the middle of the night.”

Apartment living is tough, and loud, and having neighbors that don’t respect the people around them can have a seriously negative impact on your day-to-day life.
So the vast majority of commenters were sympathetic to the note-leaver’s plight, with some even sharing their own stories of the nightmares of apartment living.

And some folks had a good laugh at the boyfriend’s expense.

But the bit about the ironing board left some concerned.

One thing just about everyone seemed to agree on is that if your relationship is volatile enough for neighbors to harbor resentment for over two years and eventually leave a note asking you to call it quits so they don’t have to listen to your drama anymore…it’s probably time to do some serious reevaluating of your choices.
