Donald Trump Hijacks Wedding To Talk About How He Lost The 2020 Election

Florida man Donald Trump still seems to be spending most of his time hanging out at Mar-a-Lago, the only place he ever seemed to want to be during his presidency, in spite of dropping repeated hints that he’s going to get back into politics.

He still clearly craves attention, however, judging by his recent stunt at a wedding reception that took place at the golf resort on Saturday in which he managed to get on stage and proceed to talk all about his failure to secure a second term.

TMZ managed to get a clip of his speech in which he spends over two minutes trashing the Biden administration for the same problems he left it with and again making claims about the 2020 election being rigged against him before he finally bothers to mention the happy couple.

“I get all these splash reports, and they’re telling me about the border, they’re telling me about China, they’re telling me about Iran,” he said. “We were ready to make a deal, they were ready to do anything, they would have done anything. And this guy [Biden] goes and drops the sanctions and then he says we’d like to negotiate now.”

This is, of course, inaccurate, as the Biden administration declined to lift sanctions on Iran after he took office to the disappointment of diplomats from Britain, France, and Germany.

Trump also finally acknowledge the conditions suffered by migrant children in U.S. facilities at the border and in other detention centers across the U.S.

“What’s happening to the kids, they’re living in squalor,” Trump said. “They are living like nobody has ever seen. There’s never been anything like this.”

Again, this is false. We saw the exact same thing under the Trump administration for four years, perhaps only reduced by his cruel “remain in Mexico” policy that forced the same kids to live in tents in northern Mexico where they were under constant threat of abduction.

Biden quickly ended this policy, resulting in an inevitable surge in border crossings. It is arguable that Biden could be handling this better, but the last person this argument should come from is Donald Trump.

Trump then asked the Mar-a-Lago crowd if they missed him to loud cheers, which he soaked up like a summer rain after a long drought. And it wasn’t long before he was on the election.

“They said get 66 million votes, sir, and the election is over,” he claimed. “I got 75 million votes, and you saw what happened. At 10.30pm in the evening, all of a sudden, they said that’s a strange thing, why are they closing up certain places.”

Some offices in which they were counting votes did have to close in the middle of the count so that the staff could be moved to a more secure location after rowdy pro-Trump protesters and death threats caused safety concerns.

After over two minutes of this at least, depending on how late into the speech the video starts, Trump finally acknowledges the “great and beautiful couple” who were having the wedding.
