GOP Group Mocked After Awarding Trump Little Trophy Two Days After He Called McConnell A “Dumb Son Of A B—h”

Senator Rick Scott found a way to get Florida man Donald Trump to notice him over the weekend with a “Champion for Freedom” award that consisted of him handing over of a little silver dish along with a photo opportunity for the senator.

This happened over the same weekend that Trump was speaking at a Republican National Committee weekend donor retreat and called Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell a “dumb son of a b—h” for admitting that Biden won fair and square.

According to attendees, he also said that Dr. Fauci is “so full of crap” and called his loss to Biden in 2020 “bulls–t.” This seems to have had zero impact on Scott’s decision to present the former president with the “award.”

“This weekend, NRSC Chairman Rick Scott presented President Donald J. Trump with the NRSC’s inaugural Champion for Freedom Award,” said the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

“This award is presented to conservative leaders who have worked tirelessly to create good jobs, protect the values that make our country great, and stop the Democrats’ socialist agenda. As president, Donald Trump delivered for the American people by appointing three pro-Constitution judges to the Supreme Court, cutting taxes for middle-class families and job creators, and securing the border.”

Many Trump critics have expressed the belief that this award was created for little other than as an excuse to kiss Trump’s backside, and mocked the little dish he was given for the occasion.

Trump has not been getting nearly the attention he became accustomed to as president after getting voted out and banned from every major social media platform that he might be able to communicate on.

Rick Scott, former Governor of Florida, was one of the eight senators who voted against the certification of the Electoral College votes on January 6, delaying the process as Trump sent his supporters to march on the Capitol, and has been one of a few politicians to stick by him in spite of everything. Only time will tell if there is to be a second annual “Champion for Freedom” award and if so, whether it will go to anyone other than Trump.
