A grown man with a TikTok account and a hybrid American-Confederate flag flying from his front porch posted a video of himself arguing with a literal child over his flag.

Now, it appears that he’s deleted his entire TikTok account after that video didn’t come across as well as he might have initially thought.

The video, which lives on in Reddit’s r/PublicFreakout subreddit, shows the man sitting on his porch via his own Nest security camera footage. That’s when a preteen boy, who looks to be 11 or 12 years old, rides up to the man’s house and confronts him about the unusual flag.
Brazenly riding his bike across the man’s grass, the boy points to the flag and expresses that he has an issue with it. Though the early part of the exchange is obscured by other sounds, it starts becoming clearer with the boy telling the man he regards the hybrid flag as racist.
The man disagrees, telling him, “Do your research before you come to me and sound like a f—king retard.”
“You’re the one coming me telling me to remove a flag,” the man adds. “It’s a freedom to fly that flag.”
The boy turns to leave, and is seemingly appalled, noting of the flag, “It’s so damn racist.”

The exchange takes one more juvenile turn, with the man saying “Do your research” and the boy saying “Maybe you should” in return.
If you were a grown man who just called a preteen a “retard” in this kind of verbal slap fight, you might want to delete the whole episode from your memory banks rather than put it up on the internet. But, indeed, the video indicates that he posted the episode on the now-defunct @thomasparis05 TikTok account.

But wait; there’s more. The one saving grace of the video is that, from the security camera’s angle, it looks like the preteen is having an issue with a regular-issue American flag.
But no! The man doubled down by posting this short video of the flag—clearly a hybrid of the Confederate flag and the American flag. “This is the flag the kid wanted me to remove,” he asserts. “I see no problem with it at all.”
Then, still smarting from the exchange, he adds, “Uneducated little bastard.”
