In a classic case of “Oh no, she didn’t,” conservative commentator Candace Owens has managed the raise the ire of both Lil Nas X and Cardi B on Twitter, and they’re hitting back on a social media platform where they both shine.

Owens started the feud on Sunday with a “what really grinds my gears”-style tweet that said, “We’ve turned George Floyd, a criminal drug addict, into an icon. We are promoting Satan shoes to wear on our feet. We’ve got Cardi B named as Woman of the Year. But we’re convinced it’s white supremacy that’s keeping black America behind.”

It finishes, “How stupid can we be?”
The “Satan Shoes” comment refers to the wild story coming out of the Lil Nas X camp over the past week. Coinciding with his new video “Montero (Call Me By Your Name),” in which he gives the Dark Prince a lap dance, Lil Nas X has teamed with design studio MSCHF to make 666 pairs of “Satan Shoes,” which each contain 60 ccs of red ink and one drop of human blood if you believe the marketing hype.

The announcement about the shoes, which went on sale Monday for $1,018 a pair and sold out almost immediately, inspired the Church of Satan’s official Twitter account to say, “Hook us up with a pair fam,” which may or may not have contributed to Owens’ ire.
Lil Nas X responded to Owens by dismissing her, saying in a response tweet, “Don’t care and ur a flop.”

In a later tweet, he noted, “You know you did something right when she talks about it” as a quote tweet to her original tweet.
That led her to respond, “Yes. You successfully got you used by corporations to help further destroy our youth. Congratulations on being a pawn in a game you likely don’t even understand. We can take cheap shots on Twitter or I can welcome you to have this discussion with me publicly because it matters.”

Meanwhile, Cardi B noticed her name in Owens’ mouth (so to speak), in reference to Cardi B winning the 2020 Woman of the Year award from Billboard.
She responded in kind on Twitter, observing, “Always gotta bring me up in something,” with an eyeroll emoji and what appeared to be a suggestion for Owens to go outside and enjoy something other than Twitter drama.”
Nick Adams, who touts himself as “President Trump’s favorite author,” fanned the flames by saying, “Clowns like @LilNasX & @iamcardib couldn’t last 30 seconds on a debate stage with the likes of @RealCandaceO!”

Twitter user @ratwizardd responded, simply, “Why is everything about debating with you people?”
To Lil Nas X and Cardi B fans, it appears the “debate” already got handled on Twitter.
