Clearly, DiMezzo understands that all is chaos and the best way to get ahead in politics is to go absolutely buck wild. Despite running for sheriff, DiMezzo is extremely anti-cop, and the logo on her website aria4sheriff.com includes the phrase “f*** the police.”

It might seem shocking that this sort of branding would play well with the GOP constituents of New Hampshire, but DiMezzo attributed her win to the fact that people are fed up regular politics…or they had no idea she is the High Priestess of the Reformed Satanic Church.

Apparently, about 4,000 people voted for DiMezzo and many of them were unfamiliar with her platforms. Since her nomination, the New York Post reports she’s gotten quite a lot of hate mail. But she says, “I was always upfront about who I am.”

“I didn’t think that so many voters were just … completely and totally oblivious about who they are voting for,” she added.

She also had the optimistic idea that possible people voted for her for some of the same reasons people ended up voting for Donald Trump: because they want to burn everything down and DiMezzo’s platform has a similar enegery even if it also has a completely different outlook.

“They have been so focused on the system, and they have been convinced that it was utterly perfect and they had placed all their trust in it when they had no idea it had been completely broken and needs repair,” she said.

“Your anger is with the system that has lied to you. Your anger is with the system that convinced you to believe in it, trust it, and have faith in it, when it is completely and utterly broken.”

Will DiMezzo win her race? Maybe not, but it’s going to be an interesting one to follow.
