In the midst of losing his mind over the Derek Chauvin trial, Tucker Carlson took a moment during Tuesday’s show seeming to try to get ahead of a story that was about to break about him—and now we know at least one thing he may have wanted to hide.

“Mentally-Unbalanced Man Finds Tucker’s Yearbook,” read the chyron as the Fox News host claimed that “Jeff Bezos had one of his minions…pull our dusty college yearbook and call around to see if we’d done anything naughty at the age of nineteen.”

Carlson smirked as he said that anything they found wouldn’t matter since no one on his show is running for political office.

Naturally, this sent people right over to Tucker’s yearbook, and, regardless of what the Washington Post may or may not have been looking for in their search, there was at least one fascinating item to be found.

“In his college yearbook, [Carlson] listed himself as a member of the ‘Dan White Society,’” author Travis Akers tweeted. “Dan White was the man who murdered Harvey Milk,” the first openly gay elected official in California.

TheWrap confirmed with Trinity College that the yearbook entry is correct, that they have no record of a “Dan White Society” existing at the school at the time, and that it was only mentioned in that yearbook by Carlson.

While there’s no hard proof that he was referencing Dan White the murderer, the other (real) clubs listed under Carlson’s yearbook entry are The Christian Fellowship and the Jesse Helms Foundation. Jesse Helms was in politics at the same time as Milk and was known for being vehemently anti-gay.

Touting support for the murderer of a gay politician feels on-brand for a young Tucker Carlson, so jumping to the conclusion that the Dan White referenced in this fake club is, in fact, the most infamous Dan White in history thus far does not require a lot of mental gymnastics.

Carlson has not commented on the discovery yet — although if he does, it will likely involve complaints about “cancel culture” and very well may only serve to make him even more popular among his progressive-hating base.
