Does Marjorie Taylor Greene Really Believe Plan B Is ‘Murdering Babies’ And Not Contraception?

Republicans have been battling two bills that finally passed in The House on Thursday, one that is meant to help LGBT-owned businesses, and a second that helps veterans receive contraceptive health care without copays, The Hill reports. “Contraception stops a woman from becoming pregnant. The Plan B pill kills a baby in the womb once a woman is already pregnant,” she said. “Equal Access to Contraception for Veterans Act is not contraception, it’s providing with taxpayer dollars the ability for women to have an abortion.”

It is against the law for federal funds to be used for abortion health care. On the other hand, CONTRACEPTION IS NOT ABORTION. Though the Catholic church and Gun Girl disapprove, contraception prevents conception and probably prevents a whole lot of abortions, if that’s what you’re worried about. Greene isn’t really worried about all that though, she just wants attention and to spread misinformation.

On Twitter, Greene’s slimy attempts to take healthcare away from actual veterans was roundly criticized and helpfully corrected by many:

Do you think Greene will actually learn something from this? I’m guessing not, but maybe a whole lot more people now know how Plan B works at least.
