Man Tracks Down Woman On Instagram To Complain She Didn’t Match Him On Bumble

Not all dudes take rejection well, but this story about a guy DMing a strange woman on Instagram shows that some of them sometimes don’t even take a non-rejection well. He pretty much made up the whole rejection in his head and went from there, which didn’t go well. Screenshots of him shooting metaphorically himself in the foot were posted by writer Natalia Antonova on Twitter, who wrote, “Happy anniversary to this great moment in incel history.”

The images appear to be of an Instagram conversation, in which the man messaged Antonova something about soup that she liked enough to engage with. It’s going well when the guy decides to sink his ship, and confesses he swiped on her on Bumble.

“You never swiped back though, so I wondered if you’d respond if I found you on Instagram,” he said. “I’m not offended. Just think it’s a little shallow of you.”

“Excuse me?” she asks.

“You harshly judged my Bumble profile, but the second you saw that I’m funny and I can cook, you let me talk to you,” he replies.

“Harshly judged?” she said. “I honestly don’t remember ever coming across you on Bumble. So whatever it is you’ve just assumed, it’s weird and wrong.”

He then gets even more insulting, saying, “Is this your way of implying that you get so many matches on Bumble that you don’t remember me? Scandalous!”

Antonova admits she gets a fair number of matches, but doesn’t see how that’s “scandalous.”

“Way to make a guy feel good about himself,” he answered.

“It’s not my job to flatter you,” Antonova responds. “Especially after you called me shallow. Piece of advice: Acting insecure and rudely demanding validation is not how you get girls.”

“You’re just an aging single mom anyway, whatever,” he says, because he sucks.

“Sure am!” says Antonova. “That’s why you got upset with me on Bumble, tracked me down on Instagram, came up with a clever response to me, got into my DMs, blew it by being a douchebag, and are now mad about it. Cool life.”

Shockingly, it seems like he actually tried to come back from that by “apologizing” and asking her to dinner. Clearly, Antonova has too much self-respect for that.

The viral tweet has thousands of quote-tweets and replies from people who have been there themselves or who just can’t believe anyone would go so out of their way to make a fool of themselves:
