It’s been a while since I’ve seen someone get tricked by The Daily Show into losing their temper, but MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell was all revved up and ready to lose it during a segment filmed with correspondent Jordan Klepper.

HuffPost reports that Klepper interviewed Lindell over the weekend at a “free speech” rally Lindell was hosting, the point of which was to bring up the results of the 2020 election. The One Donald Trump lost, which upsets Lindell as an avid Trump supporter.

Lindell is obsessed with free speech because he has been banned from Twitter for sharing conspiracy theories. He is currently being sued by Dominion Voting Systems for $1.3 billion because of some of those theories, like that there was election tampering involving the company’s machines. Klepper doesn’t hold Lindell’s beliefs, obviously, and mocked the man’s involvement with election matters.
“This is the crime of the century you’re describing and they came to the MyPillow guy,” Klepper joked. Lindell seemed confident he knew what steps to take to get Trump back in office, citing some ideas about state voting systems and projecting he’d be in the White House by August.
“It’s like watching that Bigfoot show,” Klepper said. “They don’t find Bigfoot at the end, but if you tune in next week, maybe it’s going to happen.”
Lindell laugh, and said, “Good one.”
Klepper thanked him, at which point Lindell stated, “You guys are horrible.”
Then he left the scene. Guess he’s never watched the show?

At some point, Lindell must have cooled down and realized how foolish he looked, because he tried to get ahead of the segment, Rawstory reports. On Wednesday, Lindell went on Real America’s Voice podcast, hosted by Steve Bannon, and gave him a cell phone recording of the exchange he took himself. It doesn’t sound much better from his perspective.
“We’re supposed to be letting people like you destroy us?” Lindell told Klepper, then accuses him of not watching his election videos.
“Mike, I watched all of your pillow commercials,” Klepper answers.
“You’re being a jokester, you’re being real funny,” Lindell says. “Shame on you for what you’ve done to our country when you’re saying stuff like that. This has nothing to do with the pillow!”
“We have cyber evidence! Don’t you care?” he adds. “Don’t you care your country was attacked and China, the CCP was behind this? You’ve got to watch the movies. You’ll go, ‘Wow, Mike, this is amazing!’”
“I’ve got to get through this Mare of Easttown,” Klepper said.
“What?” Lindell asks.
“Do you not have HBO Max?” responds Klepper.
“I don’t watch trash. I spend my time trying to evangelize,” Lindell insists. “We’re in the greatest revival in history. Our country wants to get back to one nation under God. What are you doing here? You’re trying to mock me.”

“I just want one of the pillows,” Klepper insists.
Okay, so Lindell doesn’t have HBO or Comedy Central.
