The Teletubbies are vaccinated!

Children’s programming has been doing its part to help kids feel comfortable about vaccinations, and the Teletubbies Twitter account has joined in on the fun (and education).
On Wednesday morning, @TeletubbiesHQ shared photos of each Teletubby’s COVID-19 vaccination card, alongside made-up vaccine names meant to mimic Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca.

“Just in time for a Tubby hot summer,” the tweet read.
Of course, it’s unlikely that any of the show’s official target audience is checking out Twitter, let alone has the ability to read in the first place, but it’s still a cute idea.
And while the Teletubbies revival series may currently be aimed at tiny children, those who grew up with the original series back in 1998 are largely literate at this point, and many are active on Twitter.
So naturally the responses have been the best part of this whole thing — especially because some Teletubbies fans apparently took the tweets very, very seriously.
