Video Of Boy Yanking American Flag Out Of The Ground Has Conservatives Bemoaning The Downfall Of Society

A viral video showing a child ripping an American flag out of the ground is causing quite an outrage among conservatives.

According to the Daily Mail, the first known upload of the video to social media happened on July 8, by @RickyLe80284150, whose Twitter says he is pro-Trump 2024 and goes by the pronouns “American/Patriot.”

“The Brainwashing of America is almost complete,” he wrote alongside the video.

In the footage, a young boy and an adult woman are riding past a yard when the boy tries to grab onto a small American flag sticking out of the grass, then stops when he loses hold of it. He doubles back and yanks it out of the lawn before throwing it onto the ground, as the woman watches.

There’s no audio, so we can’t hear what she says to him, but they quickly continue on their way.

Conservatives were quick to assume that the child’s mother was raising him with liberal values, and that him messing with someone’s flag was an indicator of people hating America.

the cost of this vandalism is that whoever lives there has to walk outside and then put it back in the ground

But some pointed out that it looked like the flag might have been being used to advertise something, and that’s what the kid was after.

Stop lying.
Stop the phony outrage.

Using the flag for advertising is a violation of flag etiquette.
