The anti-abortion non-profit Texas Right to Life has a lot of money and a lot of free time. Instead of investing that money into strengthening communities, they’ve built a website dedicated to snitching on women who may or may not have gotten an abortion—at least according to the observations of their neighbors.

In July, the website was launched to give people a place to post anonymous tips, and it’s supposed to work in tandem with the state’s new Senate Bill 8, which comes into effect on September 1st.

The law makes it possible for anyone who doesn’t work for the government to launch a civil lawsuit against anybody who has tried to receive an abortion after a very short period of time or helped someone seeking an abortion, and mandates multiple clinic visits before receiving a legal abortion. If the accused loses their lawsuit, they have to pay up to $10k per alleged abortion. And you could be sued for giving someone a ride to the clinic, even if the abortion provider is outside of Texas.
The snitch website would be a place to start the process, it seems, of suing the people in your own life for not wanting to have a baby.
The designers of the site did not establish things like reCAPTCHAs, or other safety measures against spam, so pro-choice people have been taking full advantage, flooding the ProLifeWhistleblower.com with memes. One of the most popular memes is anything related to Shrek, especially Shrek porn, like in this TikTok from williamshaughn_:

It’s not just Shrek though; the website is receiving messages from Selena stans:
And regular trolls who are sending some very NSFW pics:
Or some Ted Cruz images even more horrifying than regular photos of him:
Some people who have been over-submitting have gotten their IP address blocked, so other users are suggesting you used a VPN address if you want to make a hobby out of it. Not that we think you should do anything illegal!!

But this comment on the Shrek TikTok is very true: being silly is funny, but it does make it easier for them to weed out false reports, versus sending believable reports that can’t be verified and wasting their time in a much bigger way:

If you’re not good with computers, consider opening your wallet and donating to organizations fighting the anti-choice government in Texas on the ground.
