An anti-vaxx mom and activist apparently posted a video of her licking things in a grocery store as part of her campaign to discourage mask-wearing.

Jodie Meschuk, who according to her Twitter bio is the author of Autism Reimagined and professes to “advocate like a motha,” reportedly posted the video to social media before removing it, according to the Daily Mail. However, the @crazykarens Instagram account shared the video for the world to see.

In what appears to be documentation of a trip to the grocery store that Meschuk takes with her child, they enter maskless — in a clip captioned “Oxygen and smiles are life” — and she proceeds to lick various items in the store, including her shopping cart and the door handle in front of the stash of White Claw.

Captions overlaid on the images reveal her stance about the uncouth actions: “Exposure to germs builds defenses against asthma and allergies” and “Germs fortify your immune system.”

The viral video (in more ways than one, perhaps) garnered horrified reactions from people on the Instagram platform. One asked, “Why would you do that even if you don’t believe in the virus?”

Another volunteered, “Waiting for that follow up video when she has Covid.”

Meschuk’s Facebook page appears to be her most successful avenue for online outreach, where she has more than 16,000 followers. There, she posts questions like, “What was the event that first made you realize the shared lie was bigger than the shared truth?” garnering testimonials from anti-vaxxers that start with observations like, “I had family that were freemasons.”

It appears that people reacting on the Crazy Karens page did a little bit of research on her as well.

“Would you believe she’s a self-proclaimed ‘Medical Freedom Advocate’ and she sells essential oils?” one person asked.
