There’s an anti-masker named Ethan Schmidt who seems to make a living by doing awful stuff on camera and then asking for money. That’s a pretty popular business model these days, so it’s not too surprising that it often works. For instance, here he is burning a Pride flag for his followers, then asking them to Cashapp him.

Schmidt likes to approach people on the street and in stores and confront them about wearing a mask, then posts the results. He once entered a wig shop to harass cancer patients for enforcing mask mandates.
He has gone viral this time for choosing the wrong mark. In a video that Schmidt posted himself for some reason, he confronts a young man working for DARE outside at a table.
He’s wearing a mask, as he probably is required to for his job as somebody to is constantly talking to strangers.
As Schmidt films him, asking if he’s okay with ruining America by wearing a mask, the DARE kid calls out Schmidt by saying he “has something to lose” and Schmidt doesn’t seem to have a job. To that, Schmidt says the DARE kid is “triggered.”
Then he says he’s a Beta for wearing a mask, which DARE kid answers by saying he’s talking to Schmidt “like and Alpha,” and dares him to start a fight. Schmidt says he would if it were “200 years ago” which is probably when he thinks there were cavemen.
It’s very weird Schmidt posted this video because he looks embarrassing in it, but I guess he’s not the most self-reflective type. Unfortunately, there have been repercussions for the DARE kid, according to his alleged Instagram account. It isn’t one hundred percent verified, but someone calling themselves Ry showed an alternate angle to the interaction, claims he’s the masked-up person, and that DARE has now fired him.

He’s even started a GoFundMe which originally had a $10 goal and has now made close to $5,000.
At least we can say that both Ethan Schmidt and DARE sucks at the end of this story.
