Remember Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad? The young, ne’er-do-well meth dealer who was constantly saying things like, “Science, b*tch!” and, “It’s just basic chemistry, yo”?

Well, that guy is better at science than Lauren Boebert.

And yes, in case you’re wondering, this is the same Lauren Boebert that owns the Shooters Grill in Rifle, Colorado—a restaurant where the servers all carry handguns. And yes, that’s the same Lauren Boebert who, just last Friday, attempted to rally her base to “Imeach” Joe Biden.

Not satisfied with the notoriety that gaffe earned her, apparently, Lauren Boebert took to Twitter on Monday to pointedly inform anyone who would listen that she doesn’t understand any science at all, including the kind that most Americans learn in 5th-grade health class.

She did this by comparing a hypothetical headache to having actual, literal, real COVID-19.

The Twitter clapbacks were swift and merciless.

Despite the jokes, some were genuinely concerned for the people that Boebert’s obvious ignorance will inevitably harm:

Many, of course, pointed out her utter hypocrisy:

The FDA has recently needed to issue public warnings about not consuming the livestock dewormer ivermectin, because many anti-vaxxers and conservatives had begun taking it to treat or prevent COVID-19 in themselves—often with disastrous results. This is around the same time that Lauren Boebert publicly gave a speech inciting fear that government health officials were going to bring the COVID vaccine—what Boebert called the “Fauci Ouchie”—door to door and force it upon people.

At this time of this writing, COVID-19 has killed more than 7,800 people in Boebert’s home state of Colorado.
