In another installment of the excruciating reality show that U.S. politics has become, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene was filmed getting into shouting matches with multiple Democrats on the Capitol steps, of course in front of many cameras, on the topic of abortion and who was being “performative.”

She appears to have started with Rep. Pete Aguilar of California who, after Greene spent some time whining on the steps above where Democrats were gathering for a conference on protecting abortion rights, accused her of putting on a performance, as she really seems to enjoy doing at every opportunity.

“No, you’re performative!” Greene can be heard shooting back at Aguilar, because adults definitely run the country.
Not long after this, Greene got into a loud argument with Rep. Debbie Dingell, who reportedly accused the QAnon congresswoman of engaging with a “lack of civility.” Greene responded with this by repeating anti-choice lies about abortion.
“You know what, killing a baby up until birth is a lack of civility,” she said. “It’s called murder.”
The idea that anybody performs abortions on fetuses “up until birth” is a complete lie often spread without any evidence by anti-abortion conservatives. In reality, doctors generally do not perform abortions on fetuses that could survive outside of the womb and only abort late-term pregnancies when it’s found that the child will not survive long past birth and/or is threatening the life of the pregnant person.
“You should try the basic thing you’re taught in church: Respect your neighbor!” Dingell shot back.
This is a particularly good burn considering Greene’s reputation of harassing Democrats who have the misfortune of being in the office next to hers, up to and including hanging transphobic signs to attack her pro-trans neighbors. Back on the steps of the Capitol, Greene tried to argue with Dingell again but was quickly cut off in the same manner that she had gone after Aguilar.

“Try being a Christian and supporting life,” Greene started.
“You try being a Christian!” Dingell interrupted. “And try treating your colleagues decently!”
Tracking down Democrats to yell at over the latest big topic troubling the U.S. seems to be Greene’s preferred method of gaining attention for herself, aside from her weird conspiracy-spouting CrossFit videos, and has rapidly gained a reputation for being the most annoying Congressmembers around. She also may have little else to do after she was removed from all her committee assignments by House Democrats in response to her unapologetic role in instigating the Capitol riot on January 6 and continuing to spread lies around the insurrection.
She has repeatedly gone after progressive members of the Democratic party, particularly those making up what is known as “The Squad,” yelling at them in the halls and then crying harassment when they yell back. All of this has made her one of the least popular politicians to those left of the U.S. center, and has now boosted the popularity of Dingell.
