Notorious Baptist pastor, Trump supporter, and COVID-denier Greg Locke on Sunday gave a sermon commanding the congregation of his Global Vision Bible Church in Tennessee to reject both masks and the COVID-19 vaccine. He is now specifically calling the Delta variant, which is currently spreading across the U.S. and infecting even the vaccinated, a “hoax” and appears to have entirely embraced the 2020 election fraud conspiracy theory, claiming that the “only people that can deny it are crack-smoking, demon-possessed leftists.”

“I am not apologizing for what I said on this platform last week,” he said to applause from his followers. “The delta variant was nonsense then. It is nonsense now. You will not wear masks in this church! You will not wear masks in this church!”

“I’m telling you right now: Do not get vaccinated! Do not get vaccinated!” he shouted.
He also seems to have taken to the QAnon conspiracy theory, also known as the MyPillow Guy prophecy, that Joe Biden is not the legitimate president and that Donald Trump will soon make his heroic return, currently on the schedule for August 13.
“Joe Biden’s days are numbered!” he continued. “I said they’re numbered! I’ve told you the whole time this election was fraudulent! We’ve got so much proof.”
They don’t, actually.
Locke’s continued dedication to spreading misinformation about COVID-19 and telling his followers to reject any and all precautionary measures that might slow the spread of the illness is getting real old to a whole lot of people, particularly as the delta variant threatens to send us all back into lockdown. Case numbers are on the rise in every state thanks to this highly infectious variant to the point that hospitals are once again begging people to stay home and wear masks as they are overwhelmed with patients, many of whom are younger compared to the first waves of the pandemic.
Although the vast majority of the new infected are unvaccinated, there has been an increasing number of cases of vaccinated people becoming ill despite receiving the full-dose regimen. Either way, the death numbers are climbing again, and this has some counties reinstating mask mandates.

Locke’s preaching has already directly added to the death toll, with one member of his church dying from COVID-19 back in April. The family of the victim has further been torn apart by this, with some denouncing Locke outright.
“I lost my relationship with my uncle over the church,” said Chip Davis, nephew of Coburn Kennedy. “There can be no justice for my uncle. He’s gone. I think if Greg would find a modicum of humility, and just say ‘I was wrong’ … Change is possible.”
Long-time critics of Locke are a bit less forgiving.
