All over the Internet, conspiracy chat rooms are promoting the idea that there’s a secret pedophile crime ring in a Washington D.C. pizza store and that COVID is fake and the election is rigged and whatever idea soup is playing well to QAnon fans this week.

If you’re not in these groups, you might not realize how passionate the zealots who believe these conspiracies are. Well, a viral video from a Board of County Commissioners meeting in Johnson County, Kansas, is pretty much a performance piece on the subject.

The clip was shared by Twitter user @JerriJamz, who got it from the livestream of the event on Facebook. The meeting was supposedly about masking in schools, and as far as I can tell, this mom who spoke to the board members voting on the issue is firmly against masks, vaccines, and common sense of any kind. Her speech to the board feels more like a spoken word poem than a cogent thesis.
“I’m here for the children,” she begins. “There is zero evidence that COVID-19 exists in the word. PCR tests are recalled. This is a ‘plandemic.’ Fake virus. Bio weapon jab. Fake president. You will not experiment on my children.”
You see, lots of QAnon people believe that human trafficking is taking place at an enormous scale and it’s all being disguised by the complicit media. Not sure what they think of immigration officials separating families, but I’m betting that’s not really on this lady’s radar.
“It’s always been about the children,” she continues. “We know you’re coming for the children. We will not comply. We only answer to god. People are waking up, nothing can stop what is coming. if you vote yes you will all be tried for crimes against humanity. Children don’t disappear. Eight hundred thousand children in the United States disappear. Where do they go? Human trafficking is a real pandemic. the mainstream media doesn’t cover it. There’s no virus. the media is the virus. Politicians, Hollywood, are all involved. Please vote no today, I’m begging you. I want you to think real hard about these children.”
Then she leans into the mic and concludes, “Trump. Won.”
This whole thing is frightening in itself, but perhaps even scarier is that in the replies there are example after example of people doing similar things at board meetings across the country:

There should really be more meeting ground for everyone when it comes to being suspicious of the elites and politicians in this country, but the QAnon people keep bringing everything else into it and celebrating Donald Trump as their savior. If they still believe he’s coming to the rescue, there’s no hope.
