Another “Karen” video is going viral after a woman was filmed shouting up into the empty void of the towering Sam’s Club warehouse ceiling that she was “being disrespected” by a worker at the checkout counter and demanding a supervisor.

She also made sure to let the entire store know that she’s a member of the military, as though that makes her special or makes her Karen display any less embarrassing to the human species.

“I’m a military member being disrespected at the counter! Supervisor!” she screams before turning back to the cashier. “Yes, I just pulled that s–t because you’re bad at your job. I don’t care. You’re bad at your job.”

She then declares that she’s going to take pictures of whatever it is that was bothering her while saying “f— this.”

We may never know if the cashier was actually doing anything that could be interpreted as disrespectful or if, as the Karen also says, they made some kind of mistake or are truly “bad” at their job. Often in cases like this, the customer is simply upset because an underpaid employee won’t wave some store policy for the benefit of a single person who feels they should be exempt from the rules for no conceivable reason.

This woman is also not wearing her mask, instead holding it in her hand for the entirety of the video, which some might say is highly disrespectful to the people around her and public health in general.

Sam’s Club facilities are requiring customers to wear masks wherever the CDC says that they’re experiencing “substantial or high transmission” of the COVID-19 virus, which is still pretty much everywhere in the U.S. People can be seen entering the store in the video background all wearing masks and also looking at this lady like she’s nuts.

The original TikTok video has been set to private, but a reaction video shows additional footage strongly suggesting that the entire issue was indeed over the face mask thing, yet again.

This footage shows what looks like a credit card reader knocked to the ground, still attached to the power cord, on Karen’s side of the counter. She then starts another loud rant to the entire store, this time spouting your usual anti-masker nonsense.

“F— society, f— COVID, f— the fact that y’all think this works,” she says, waving her mask over her head. “Hi, biomedical engineering. This does not work. It’s the Spanish Flu, get the f— over fearmongering.”

The comparison of COVID-19 to the 1918 influenza pandemic, often referred to as the “Spanish Flu” at the time due to misinformation about the virus’ origins and general xenophobia, is more apt than this Karen might realize.

This pandemic, which also sparked mask mandates in the U.S. and abroad, infected a third of the world population at the time and may have killed up to 100 million people, or one in five people who caught it. Considering these numbers, comparing COVID-19 to the 1918 flu should make everyone more afraid of it and more willing to wear masks, unless of course they’re caught up in political propaganda.

Following her anti-mask yelling, a small group of Sam’s Club employees can be seen discussing something in a huddle. Karen soon picks up her phone to complain into it about allegedly bad customer service.

“I spent two hours walking around with absolutely no offer for help,” she says.

Perhaps a refusal to wear a mask was the reason for that, since most people believe the vast majority of public health experts and doctors who say that wearing a mask is one of the best easy ways people can limit the spread of the virus. Not to mention the fact that a Sam’s Club cashier probably doesn’t get paid sick leave or decent health insurance.
