Republicans are really getting out of control with their weird political ads this year. Every new one that pops up seems to be pandering to their base in the most ridiculous way, usually featuring them shooting or blowing something up — things that shouldn’t have anything to do with being a successful politician in a normal world.

But we’re still living in the remains of a country briefly run by Donald Trump, and Michelle Fiore is the latest to attempt to capitalize on that.
The Las Vegas councilwoman announced her bid for governor of Nevada on Wednesday with an ad that features her driving around the desert in a pickup truck and revealing her “three-shot plan,” which involves her shooting bottles representing vaccine mandates, critical race theory, and voter fraud.
“Washington Post called me a gun-toting calendar girl and Politico magazine said that I was the lady Trump,” she said, traipsing through the desert in a red dress and leather jacket. “And I don’t care.”
She also breaks a TV, presumably to throw shade at the “fake news” MAGA folks call everything that doesn’t support their pre-existing beliefs and claimed that the Joe Biden administration is “coming after” her.

It’s hard to pinpoint the best part of the video. It might be how they didn’t even pretend to get her actually shooting those glass bottles, opting instead to use sloppy editing to infer as much, or it might be how she awkwardly remembers to put her hand on her gun for the final pose.
But whatever everyone’s favorite moment may be, it was easy for viewers to agree the whole thing is pretty bonkers.
