Piers Morgan Storms Off Set After Being Called Out For Despising Meghan Markle

Piers Morgan has made his disdain for Meghan Markle perfectly clear over the years. Whether this has to do with her ghosting him after they went on a single date in 2017 or is simply a result of Morgan having negative opinions about almost everything is anyone’s guess, but the result has been the same—more trashing of Markle in the British media.

And it’s amped up this week, following her and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah. Several clips involving Morgan sharing his anti-Markle opinions, supporting others doing so, or lashing out at people who’ve defended her have gone viral.

But this latest one might be the best—on Tuesday’s Good Morning Britain, Morgan got so upset over his co-host, Alex Beresford, calling him out for his obvious vendetta against the Duchess of Sussex that he actually stormed offset.

“And I understand that you don’t like Meghan Markle. You’ve made it so clear a number of times on this program,” Beresford told Morgan, after sharing the sympathy he has for Harry. “And I understand that you’ve got a personal relationship with Meghan Markle, or had one, and she cut you off.

“She’s entitled to cut you off if she wants to. Has she said anything about you since she cut you off? I don’t think she has, but yet you continue to trash her.”

That’s as far as Beresford got before Morgan abruptly announced that he was “done with this” and got right up and stormed off the set.

As he did so, Beresford maintained his calm composure but called Morgan’s behavior “pathetic” and “absolutely diabolical.”

“I’m sorry, but Piers spouts off on a regular basis, and we all have to sit there and listen,” he rightly pointed out.

Beresford is far from the only person sick of how Morgan treats people and engages on the show, and the internet lauded him for actually calling him out.

After being confronted with his own inability to withstand criticism, Morgan defended himself on Twitter by responding to a tweet about how “if you give it, you’ve gotta be able to take it” by claiming that he can.

“Sure. I just prefer not to sit there listening to colleagues call me diabolical,” he wrote, seemingly missing the point and referencing a comment that was made after he had already stormed halfway off the set.
