A new nightmare neighbor saga has dropped, this one another example of people who think they own the street in front of their house and can tell their neighbors not to park there. This couple went so far as to physically block a woman from parking there when she lives right across the street and then called the police, who had to explain to them that they were on the wrong side of the law on this one.

The woman posted a series of TikTok videos showing the whole incident and soon inspired multiple other neighbors to complain that these two have been bullying people in the area for months since they moved in and allegedly keyed a bunch of cars.

A cut of these videos ended up on the “Public Freakout” forum on Reddit where even more people could gawk at the world’s worst neighbors.

The footage shows the couple standing in front of Jade Ronni’s car on the phone with the police as she films them, cracking up, and explains that she’s lived in the house across from the one they recently purchased for seven years.

“But he doesn’t want me to park in front of his house because he apparently has five cars that he needs to park here,” she says, laughing. “So they’re trying to bully me, which they do to every neighbor. They leave nasty notes on every neighbor’s car, swearing at people not to park in front of their house.”

The most popular of these videos on TikTok, which has received over 5.1 million views so far, shows an irritated police officer trying to explain to the couple that they cannot legally bar someone from parking in front of their house without a special ordinance. In certain areas and under specific circumstances, people can obtain signs that restrict parking in front of their property, but that’s usually up to the city council or other small-time board.

In general, people can park where they want on residential streets where they live, whereas blocking people from moving their car without cause is often a crime. As the officer explains, “if it’s empty, and someone wants to park here, that’s too bad.”

As the videos went viral, the saga began to evolve into a whole discussion about this couple which has apparently been terrorizing the neighborhood since they moved in.

Nextdoor comments show people claiming that they have a security camera that alerts them any time someone tries to park in front of their house and people who do end up finding their vehicles mysteriously damaged shortly after.

“I’ve had to deal with this bloke myself – got into an altercation at midnight with him (I lived on that block) and coincidentally, the following day at 7am I noticed that my car was keyed,” wrote one commenter. “Everyone that lives on the block has had multiple and ongoing issues with this house.”

It’s so bad that Ronni recently launched a fundraising campaign for her own security cameras and any legal fees she might face as she stands up to the nightmare neighbors. Commenters are generally baffled by the couple’s behavior and brainstorming ideas for how Ronni can get her revenge.
