Lil Wayne Endorses Trump, Sparking Jokes And Memes

President Trump doesn’t get many celebrity endorsements these days. He’s lost Kanye West, who peeled off to run his own presidential campaign, so all he’s really left with are the likes of James Woods, Adam Baldwin, and…presumably a couple of other people. The girl who played Seth’s backup love interest in The O.C. for a minute, I guess, and maybe Milo Yiannopolous, if he still counts for anything.

And apparently now Trump can add Lil Wayne to his list of endorsements.

Wayne met with the president recently, and shared with his Twitter audience how successful he felt the encounter was.

“Just had a great meeting with @realdonaldtrump @potus besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership,” he wrote. “He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done.”

Many people were already frustrated with Wayne’s repeated dismissal of the Black Lives Matter movement and racism in general.

“I don’t feel connected to a d—n thing that ain’t got nothing to do with me. If you do, you crazy as s—t,” he said in regards to BLM during a 2016 interview in which he also pointed out that he’s rich.

As such, the rapper throwing his weight behind Trump may not have been a complete shock, but it wasn’t well-received, either.

Conservatives, meanwhile, are praising Lil Wayne for “thinking for himself,” which they somehow always equate with falling in line with whatever Trump (or QAnon) is peddling that day.

It’s also perhaps worth noting that rapper Lil Pump also endorsed Trump recently.

When asked if he would make it a trio of “Lil” rappers endorsing the current president, Lil Jon, on the other hand, responded with a concrete “HOW ABOUT F—KKKK NOOOOOO.”
