With the 2020 presidential election fast approaching, people are starting to imagine an end to our long national nightmare with the very real possibility that President Donald Trump may finally be booted out of office. His challenger, former Vice President Joe Biden, is commanding a formidable lead in polls. Although that had also been the case in 2016 before Hillary Clinton was ultimately defeated, people are hoping that the outcome will be different this time around.
Case in point, Madame Tussauds waxwork museum in Berlin preemptively dumped the reality TV star into a dumpster ahead of Tuesday’s election, in what is hopefully a sign of things to come.
Holy shit, I’m gonna need a fact checker to weigh in here.

Though Trump is not literally out with the garbage—not yet, anyway—the new display features the president sticking jauntily out of a plastic dumpster like Oscar the Grouch, complete with filled trash bags, snarkily printed tweet bubbles, one MAGA hat, and a sign that read, “DUMP TRUMP, Make America Great Again.”
“Today’s activity is rather of a symbolic character ahead of the elections in the United States,” Orkide Yalcindag, the museum’s marketing manager, told Reuters. “We here at Madame Tussauds Berlin removed Donald Trump’s waxwork as a preparatory measure.”

Best of all, as you can see in the above video, in what “seemed a further calculated insult,” Trump is wheeled out past a beaming former President Barack Obama. German Chancellor Angela Merkel was among President Obama’s closest foreign allies—a partnership that Trump has since squandered, along with many other United States allies.
Hey, if nothing else, you can’t blame Madame Tussauds for just putting their hopes and dreams out into the world. With any luck, their tactic will pay off—though even if it doesn’t, we wouldn’t mind if he just stayed there for the next four years, either way.
