“I Just Want To Stop The World From Killing Itself!” Tweets Donald Trump

Spouting Twitter nonsense will undoubtedly be one of the major legacies of Trump’s short and far-fetched presidency. And he certainly hasn’t slowed down, despite losing the 2020 election in a landslide to Joe Biden in November.

On Friday morning, Trump hit “send” on yet another one of his bizarre tweets, telling everyone, “I just want to stop the world from killing itself!”

The declaration was wedged in between tweets about how “the Swine Flu (H1N1), and the attempt for a vaccine by the Obama Administration, with Joe Biden in charge, was a complete and total disaster” and more ramblings about his “perfect” phone call to the President of Ukraine which got him impeached.

While the progression of tweets is predictably lacking in solid logic, it seems that Trump is suggesting Biden will botch the pandemic response that Trump himself already botched on a massive scale, though he believes he is somehow the only person who can suddenly fix things.

Either way, the tweet is ridiculous not only for that specific sentiment, but also for how it functions as a standalone statement. A staggering number of Americans have died on Trump’s watch, and people were all too prepared to point that out.

Others were just ready to dunk on him for the weird tweet, and honestly, we’ve all more than earned the right after surviving the past four years. Here are some of the best:
