The fact that President Trump and his political allies have been going out of their way to question the validity of our election process and try to undermine democracy is far from amusing. It’s a terrifying look into just how fragile this whole American experiment just might be.

However, it did open the door for Joe Biden to essentially win the presidency again and again, as Trump supporters viewed each routine step in the process as another chance for 45 to steal back his office — but he continues to lose.

The latest blow to Trump’s ego is that Twitter has changed their wording on some of the fact-checking it applies to his tweets to reflect Biden’s win.

“Election officials have certified Joe Biden as the winner of the United States Presidential election,” it reads underneath anything Trump now tweets that specifically claims that either he won or Biden lost.

It’s a fitting addendum to Trump’s continued temper tantrum and utter refusal to accept defeat, despite the fact that he did, in fact, lose the election by a landslide.

And people who are sick of the outgoing president’s antics are definitely amused by this latest turn of events, especially considering Trump has spent most of his energy since losing the election tweeting, rather than communicating with the people in a more traditional manner.

The president also continues to push his baseless conspiracy theories of widespread voter fraud, which have repeatedly been tossed out of dozens of courts at this point, and Twitter continues to mark those tweets with a simple “This claim about election fraud is disputed.”

However, as noted in one of the tweets above, Trump may finally simply be banned from the platform after he is no longer president.

He has repeatedly used the social media site to not only spread conspiracy theories, but encourage violence among his supporters. If he continues to do such things when he is no longer shielded by Twitter’s “World Leaders policy,” the company says he could face the same consequences as average users, which could ultimately result in a ban.

Hey, there’s always Parler.
