An incredible report by The Washington Post has revealed that Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump refused to let the members of their Secret Service detail use any of their 6.5 bathrooms within their 5,000-square-foot home. In order to allow the agents to relieve themselves, the government had to rent a basement studio apartment nearby that somehow cost $3,000 per month.

This has resulted in over $100,000 of taxpayer money being used up because Jared and Ivanka apparently didn’t want peasant butts on any of their seven toilets.

According to the report, Secret Service agents spent some months using a porta-potty and even had to travel to the nearby residence of former President Barack Obama, who was kind enough to let working people pee even though they were guarding someone else.

Apparently, however, one Secret Service agent left such a mess in the Obamas’ bathroom that the leaders of the detail still protecting the family, as is standard for former presidents, banned the Kushner detail from the facilities. After that, and after the wealthy residents of the neighborhood objected to the sight of a porta-potty, they felt that the only reasonable solution was to rent a whole apartment just for an employee bathroom.

“It’s the first time I ever heard of a Secret Service detail having to go to these extremes to find a bathroom,” a law enforcement official told the Post.

A White House spokesperson has denied that Jared and Ivanka refused to let the agents use any of their seven bathrooms, but both that official and former neighbors dispute this. Dianne Bruce, who lived across the street from the Trump couple until recently, reports seeing the porta-potty on a portion of sidewalk that she wasn’t even allowed to walk on.

“They sort of came in with the attitude, like, ‘We are royalty,’” Bruce said of Jared and Ivanka.

This report is contributing to the public view of the Trumps as being elitists who think they’re above the rest of the population while costing that population a whole lot of money in unnecessary security costs. People are now taking out their frustrations on the couple in the form of jokes, because what else can we do about it?

“We will always stand with our brave heroes in law enforcement. We love them,” wrote one commenter. “We just won’t let them use any of the six different toilets in our mansion.”

“Conservatives will tell you we can’t afford basic rights and then spend $100,000 taxpayer dollars on a toilet,” joked the Public Citizen account.

Somehow it always comes back to toilets with these people.
