Some Jerk Carved “TRUMP” Into A Literal Manatee

Even prior to the storming of the Capitol, it’s been no secret that supporters of President Trump are far more zealous than supporters of most politicians, often being likened to a cult for their freakish devotion to and obsession with a single, fallible man and his empty promises.

But in addition to wearing MAGA hats and Trump 2020 shirts even after the 2020 election victory went to President elect-Joe Biden, one Trump supporter apparently took the outrageous step of carving “TRUMP” into a manatee’s back.

The animal was spotted swimming in Florida’s Homosassa River this weekend, and it was impossible for observers to miss what had been done to it.

Minding it’s own business and some monster(s) came along and did this.

The person who committed such a heinous attack on a wild animal has not yet been discovered, but one can only assume he or she is part of the MAGA nation. An investigation has been launched by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, however, and mere harassment of a manatee is a federal crime.

According to Senior Marine Scientist Ruth Carmichael, who was interviewed by VICE about this horrible cruelty, acknowledged that it’s “a little hard to see the extent of the damage from the video,” but expressed concerns about potential open wounds and infections.

Another interviewee, Graham Worthy of the University of Central Florida, erred on the side of optimism, expressing hope that the outgoing president’s name was written mostly through scraping algae off the manatee’s back.

That wouldn’t change the criminal aspect of the offense, or the horrified outrage it sparked online.

It’s almost like a competition, trying to see which Trump supporters can stoop the absolute lowest.
