Jenna Ryan, the Texas realtor and radio host who denounced the violence at the Capitol after appearing to revel in it at the time, is asking President Trump for a pardon.

Ryan took a private jet with her friends to Washington, D.C. for the January 6th “protest,” and tweeted that the storming of the Capitol, specifically, was “one of the best days of [her] life.”

A neighbor alerted D.C. Police to a photo Ryan shared in which she posed alongside a broken window and threatened similar future violence against the media. A lengthy livestream that included her screaming that “we are armed and dangerous” in a series of threats that seemed to be aimed at Mitch McConnell was also unearthed.

The realtor was eventually arrested for her part in the riots on Friday, but not before she told her local CBS 11 channel that she is hoping Trump intervenes on her behalf.

“I would like a pardon from the President of the United States. I think that we all deserve a pardon. I’m facing a prison sentence,” she said incredulously.

“I think that I do not deserve that.”

This isn’t the first interview Ryan has given between the failed attack on the Capitol and her arrest.

Earlier the same week, she told Spectrum News that she went to D.C. “because our president, President Donald Trump, asked us to go to the march…I answered the call of my president.”

Wide-eyed, he tried to say that “storming our Capitol” — a phrase she used in that interview and had used in one of the tweets now being used against her — simply meant “we’re here, we’re descending on D.C., we’re concerned about our elections.”

Ryan also denied to Spectrum that she went beyond the “doorframe” of the Capitol, although her very own livestream showed her walking into the building “in the name of Jesus.”

Her attempted spin on both the events of that day and the role she played on them clearly hasn’t worked for her so far, as she has been charged with both knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted building without lawful authority and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.

Another Capitol rioter, Jake Angeli, has also asked for a pardon from Trump via his lawyer, making a similar claim as Ryan — that he was there by request of the president.
