Tucker Carlson Mocks AOC For Saying She Was Frightened During Riot, Gets Slammed For Hypocrisy

On January 6th, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was one of the members of Congress at the Capitol who had to be evacuated to a safe place to shelter as Trump supporters swarmed the building. AOC is a Democrat that many MAGA heads are fixated on. Considering the violence in the crowd that day and what appeared to be plans for actual assassinations, people were frightened for her, and she was frightened for herself.

On and Instagram Live afterward, AOC described what happened and how it felt, saying:

“It was not an exaggeration to say that many members of the House were nearly assassinated. I didn’t even feel safe going to that extraction point because there were QAnon and white supremacist members of Congress who I felt would disclose my location and create opportunities to allow me to be hurt.”

I don’t know @AOC personally, but her transparent, heart filled, and anti-elitist style of politics has always been the direction this country needs to go. For that, we must do whatever we can to support and protect her and other politicians like her.

It is true that people like Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley had been encouraging the insurrectionists—as well as the president himself. She was saying nothing but the truth.

Someone who really doesn’t like this truth is Fox News host Tucker Carlson. He does like to insult women, especially AOC.

On his show, Carlson talked about her Instagram, saying, “Here’s the dumbest and most narcissistic of all of them, the Kim Kardashian of the Congress.”

He then called her a hypocrite for supporting the police at the Capitol after criticizing police violence.

There were officers at the Capitol trying to do their jobs and protect Congress. there were also officers taking selfies with the rioters and opening the gates, not to mention dozens of off duty officers from around the U.S. who came to participate.

Carlson’s biggest issue, however, is AOC suggesting she was in real danger.

“Narrowly escaped death,” Carlson repeated. “When the most harrowing thing in life is pass freshman sociology at Boston University, every day is a brand new drama. Sandy’s heart is still beating fast. But she likes the cops now, despite the fact they’re white supremacists. What a difference a day makes.”

Carlson’s disgusting segment has received a lot of criticism, especially from people who pointed out that he’s exaggerated danger from “antifa” directed at him:

It’s also sheer hypocrisy – Carlson famously made a song and dance on his show about an ‘attack’ on his home and his family which wasn’t an attack, but now says @AOC shouldn’t be afraid for her life as armed mobs with nooses *actually* attacked and looted her place of work.
