Conservatives angry at the fact that Lucasfilm, owned by Walt Disney Studios, said they had no plans to hire Gina Carano again and condemned her grossly antisemitic Instagram post are again whining about so-called “cancel culture.”

In response to the statement from Lucasfilm, they got #CancelDisneyPlus to trend on Twitter, because irony is dead and we killed it.

Carano was widely condemned this week after she made an Instagram post actually comparing her experience of people being mad at her for being transphobic to Jewish people being murdered by neighbors in Nazi Germany.

Lucasfilm didn’t really “fire” her for this, as she wasn’t employed by them at the time, but they also did not mince words when panning her awful analogy.
“Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future,” a Lucasfilm spokesperson said in a statement. “Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.”

This statement and general calls for the actress to be barred from future roles on Disney Plus hit The Mandalorian brought out the worst people conservativism has to offer, including neo-Nazi Mike Cernovich.
They hope to teach Disney a lesson by depriving the massive media company of their $7 monthly subscription fees.

In classic fashion, once #CancelDisneyPlus began trending, people who do not think being criticized for bigotry is the same as a pogrom flooded it to declare their support for the streaming service, especially in the middle of WandaVision.

Others simply took the opportunity to mock and troll those who apparently consider themselves modern-day Holocaust victims in spite of definitely not being in concentration camps right now.
