Anti-Masker Filmed Shouting Racial Slurs At Cashier Who Asked Him To Leave

It’s been nearly a year since the first cases of COVID-19 were detected in the U.S., and we still have anti-maskers trying to use debunked excuses to avoid wearing masks in stores and getting super mad about it.

One particular couple ended up on the Public Freakout forum on Reddit for using racial slurs against a cashier who refused to ring them up unless they put on masks.

Despite the Reddit title, this guy actually says “it’s called the Americans With Disability Act, you stupid f—.” It’s unclear whether he thinks the law applies to Americans with more than one disability, or if the act only applies to one specific disability.

The TikTok video text explains that the couple came in refusing to wear masks and “being racist to everyone,” so the cashier evoked his right to refuse service. Predictably, this sent the anti-maskers into a rage and got them calling the cops. The video starts with the man trying to say that the cashier has no right to “videotape” him, but that doesn’t stop the worker, who thinks the cops will probably be on their side.

“We’ll see how they feel about you not wearing masks,” the cashier says.

This angers the anti-masker further, which is when the “Americans with Disability Act” line comes out. The cashier responds to being called a “stupid f—” by saying “shut up,” which the customer doesn’t like at all. He becomes increasingly belligerent and sounds like he drops the n-word a couple of times, but doesn’t cross the checkout counter, instead opting for more racism along with the woman accompanying him.

“He’s f—ing Mexican, what do you expect?” says the woman who the cashier dubs a Karen.

“Stupid w–back,” says the man, using a common anti-Latinx slur.

The cashier also comments on how sad it is to see a little Black girl with this couple, saying “if she witness this here imagine at home” and accusing the couple of calling another employee a “Black b—h.” Earlier in the video, the girl raises her arms in a clear signal that she wants to be hugged or picked up, but is ignored as the man focuses on yelling at a cashier trying to make them follow the rules.

The video ends with the poor Black woman promising to give the couple the name and number of their manager. We can only hope that since it hasn’t landed in a national news story, it didn’t end in violence. Instead it will just be another example of human misery for Reddit users to crack jokes about.

“Why haven’t we heard about all these cases in court?” wrote one commenter. “I have a disability that when I’m around a–holes that I need to spin around like a helicopter with my arms out and fist closed and hit people. As an American, it is my right to do this. I’m a helicopter b—h.”

“One would think that a guy who can appear just fine while enraged, full of adrenaline, and talking a whole bunch can calmly walk around wearing a mask and avoid all that commotion,” said another.
