A video intended for social media instead captured the disturbing moment a man came into a woman’s house without invitation after lurking outside.

Angela Maria Goncalves was recording herself dancing in her Paranaguá home in Brazil for Instagram when the man showed up.

At first, he merely lurked on the other side of the gate to her property, visible to the camera but not to Goncalves herself.

Eventually, he pulls the gate open and sidesteps the dog before actually walking up into the house itself.

Goncalves reacts with nervous shock at first, but when it becomes clear that the man is an actual intruder and he moves closer to her, she goes on the offensive.

“With my docile pitbull instinct, I beat the hell out of him,” she said, according to a translation from the New York Post.

Both her dog and her 11-year-old daughter can be seen eventually following her out the gate as she chases the man away.

Goncalves says she has filed a police report but doesn’t know who the man was. She’s hoping the public attention may draw out someone who recognizes him and give his name to the police.

A similar incident happened in Maryland back in December. A woman was recording a dance video in her apartment when she realized a man had somehow climbed up onto her balcony and was in the process of entering her home. She was able to grab her phone and run to a neighbor’s apartment when he refused to leave.
