Turning Point USA founder and conservative commentator Charlie Kirk has called Prince Harry a “metrosexual beta male” that’s getting plenty of online views, but also earning him considerable amounts of online ridicule.

Kirk shared the video via his Twitter account with the self-endorsement, “Where’s the lie?” It’s gained 1.2 million views since going up very early Tuesday morning, as a response to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s revelatory interview with Oprah Winfrey over the weekend.

The shared video, courtesy of Jason Campbell, summarized the two-minute segment: “Charlie Kirk says Meghan Markle is ‘making it up like Jussie Smollett’ and calls Prince Harry a ‘metrosexual beta male.'”

In addition to those accusations, Kirk called Markle a “tradition-destroying leftist.”
A number of people went in to criticize Kirk for his views, with former presidential candidate Joe Walsh ascertaining, “I say this as a conservative who has a talk radio show and probably won’t make it very far this time: Here is the state of conservative talk radio in a nutshell.”

Justin Baragona provided a contrast between Prince Harry and Kirk, observing, “Prince Harry was an Apache helicopter pilot who served two tours in Afghanistan. Charlie Kirk once cried about being violently attacked and threatened by antifa when a protester poured water on his head at breakfast.”
And, as Monjula Ray pointed out, “It’s never dudes like Obama or Idris Elba or Jason Momoa talking about how alpha male they are. It’s also like Charlie Kirk and Ben Shapiro,” punctuating her assessment with an “lolol.”

So, while the video clip is getting a lot of attention, it’s not necessarily the brand of attention Kirk was courting.
