A viral TikTok video shows a Florida man and member of the local Tea Party dressed in a tri-corner hat and other old-timey costume gear yelling at a woman that she “injected murder babies in your veins” after she pulled out her COVID vaccination card.

The Tea Partier was shouting at people and holding a sign saying “Just Say No To Joe” when TikTok user Tala Abuhamdeh started filming, later adding overlay text to say “POV: you pull out your vaccine card in front of anti-vaxxers.”

The video shows a woman in a mask, Abuhamdeh’s mom, pulling the vaccine card out of her purse and bystanders applaud as the man yells about murder babies.

While it may sound like this man is referring to some form of microscopic and murderous infants, he is very likely referring to the false claim that the COVID-19 vaccine, among other vaccines, contain the cells of aborted fetal tissue. In reality, some of the COVID vaccines were developed by growing the viruses in fetal tissue in order to ensure that the vaccine would work in humans, but what goes in your arm contains no fetal cells whatsoever.

It’s therefore inaccurate to even say that the woman in the video injected murdered babies in her arm, even if you consider a fetus and a baby to be the same thing. Furthermore, according to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, all the fetal tissue used for the purpose of testing vaccines was collected back in the 1960s as labs have been able to continuously grow this tissue for re-use.

So even if he has a problem with already-aborted tissue being used to prevent further death, this guy doesn’t have a leg to stand on. Of course, that will almost certainly not prevent him from dressing up to yell Bible verses at strangers.

“Jesus Christ said, ‘if you hurt one of these little ones, it is better that you be thrown into the water,’” he yelled.

He was likely referring to Matthew 18:6, which reads: “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.”

Jesus was, however, talking about already-born children or possibly adult followers who wanted a simple and peaceful life. Jesus himself did not talk about abortion in the Bible.

The video has gained nearly 340,000 views on TikTok, blowing Abuhamdeh’s typical view count of a few hundred out of the water. In a follow-up video she made to explain the costumes and strange behavior of this man, she explains that he’s part of the St. Augustine Tea Party and included additional footage of more of their members in 18th century outfits and holding signs calling the pandemic a hoax.

There’s also a great photo of her mom holding her vaccine card and giving a thumbs-up with the murder babies guy in the background.
