The concept of “cringe” is a highly subjective one, but viewers of a TikTok video showing a yard dressed up in enough pro-Trump decorations to make your Christmas-obsessed neighbor say “tone it down” may be defining the term among Trump critics and even Trump-neutral folks, if such a thing exists.

The footage shows a house in St. James, New York, that is absolutely decked out in Trump 2024 signs, cardboard cutouts of Donald and Melania, and various flags to the point that the TikTok user compared it to a cult house and suggested that deprogramming specialists look into it.

The “Scary Halloween Sound Effects” soundtrack feels extremely appropriate as it pans over a mailbox with a Trump head and a wig, topped off with a button-decorated MAGA hat and, ironically, signs that advise people to “relax.” Other signs declare that “the media does not pick our president period!!!” All of this is topped off by a large “Trump” sign on the roof that has lost the letter “M” so it signals the owner’s support for “TRUP.”

“I was so shocked driving by that I couldn’t even control my camera,” says the TikTok user. “It had a sign that said ‘smile you’re on camera,’ so I hope they saw me and I hope they, well, they have no shame, so I don’t think they’d mind being all over TikTok.”

In addition to being shocked at the spectacle on the outside of the house, the video-taker expressed concern about the people living inside.
“This should be sent to cult deprogrammers and somebody else that might be able to intervene and help these people because the inhabitants of this home are very, very mentally unwell,” she said. “This is not the sign of a mentally stable being. I feel bad if there’s children in this home.”

That might not be entirely fair to people who are mentally unwell, the vast majority of whom have normal yards and don’t treat elected officials like gods.
The TikTok user ended by expressing what most anti-Trump viewers were probably thinking:
“I hope the whole house gets sunk into a sinkhole like in Poltergeist.”

The video made it to the Reddit forum r/TikTokCringe where it was found to be a very appropriate entry and labeled as “cursed.” Commenters appear to widely agree that regardless of one’s politics, this is too much politician worship for one yard.
“This makes people who leave their Christmas lights up until July look like very stable geniuses in comparison,” wrote one Reddit user.
“Thats one way to lower the neighbouring homes [sic] property value,” wrote another.
