Reality TV has given us a small taste of what it can be like living in a polygamist family, but it turns out TikTok might be an even better source for dishing.

Murray Blackmore grew up in a polygamous Mormon cult in Canada, currently headed up by his father, Winston. The elder Blackmore has 27 wives, leaving Murray with a whopping 150 siblings.

Now considering himself ex-Mormon, Murray has taken to TikTok to answer questions people may have about what growing up in a world that’s so foreign to most of us was like.

In his videos, he explains that he and his very, very large family grew up in a single community, where they did everything together, including school.

He even shared photos of some of the buildings that made up the community he called home.

And explained the naming system they had in place to make it easier to remember the kids’ names and ages—everyone born in the same year received a name starting with the same letter.

Murray has 11 siblings whose names also start with an M.

While he has 150 siblings altogether (so far), Murray has nine full siblings—and he’s a middle child in both scenarios, coming in 6th of his mother’s kids and 65th of his father’s.

And there were so many kids being born in their community that they actually built a “birthing clinic” just for their family.

After living in Portland, Oregon for a few months, Murray says he has moved back to the area where he grew up, and is looking forward to answering more questions people may have about the cult, his family, and his life.
