Messages recently revealed by prosecutors who are going after Proud Boys leader and accused insurrectionist Ethan Nordean, better known as Rufio Panman, show a significant level of disillusionment around then-President Donald Trump.

One particular message, made on January 20, absolutely dragged the current Florida man for abandoning Nordean and his cohorts after the day of the attempted coup to the federal agents who were arresting and charging them with serious crimes.

“Alright I’m gunna say it,” Nordean wrote. “F— TRUMP! F— him more than Biden I’ve followed this guy for 4 years and given everything and lost it all. Yes he woke us up, but he led us to believe some great justice was upon us…and it never happened, now I’ve got some of my good friends and myself facing jail time cuz we followed this guys [sic] lead and never questioned it.”

“So glad he was able to pardon a bunch of degenerates as his last move and s–t on us on the way out,” he concluded. “F— you trump [sic] you left us on [t]he battle field bloody and alone.”
Indeed, following the assault on the Capitol, Trump has done little to nothing to help those who were arrested for following his command to march on congress as they worked to certify the 2020 election results.
Trump unceremoniously left the White House on the 20th and, after being suspended or banned across all major social media platforms, has only occasionally released memos from his “Office of the Former President” on topics like how much he hates Rep. Liz Cheney.
Nordean is far from the only (possibly former) Trump supporter who expressed frustration with the ex-president for appearing to abandon them to the feds. As pointed out by Politico reporter Kyle Cheney (no relation), Oath Keepers leader Stewart Rhodes had words for Trump in the middle of the insurrection on Signal.

“All I see is [sic] Trump doing is complaining,” said Rhodes. “I see no intent by him to do anything.”
Nordean was arrested on February 3 based on his posting photos online from the middle of the riot showing Capitol police hitting Trump supporters with pepper spray. He faces four charges for his participation, including “obstructing an official proceeding, aiding and abetting injury to government property, disorderly conduct and knowingly and violently entering a restricted building.”
His leadership in the violent Proud Boys group likely won’t help his case, especially considering the fact that he had already been filmed fighting with protesters, giving one a concussion in 2018. Video of this event skyrocketed Nordean into right-wing fame and was resoundingly praised by Proud Boys leader and fascist Gavin McInnes.
