Vegan Activist Pours Blood All Over A KFC, Gets Called Entitled

Veganism has a lot of good stuff about it, like being better for the environment, for example. Unfortunately, proponents of veganism are not sending their best. It seems to be the worst vegans who get the most attention, and that includes Tash Peterson, or @VganBooty. As an animal rights activist and passionate vegan, Peterson has pulled a lot of attention-grabbing stunts. While some are just kind of embarrassing, like standing around in her underwear, this recent one seems to have crossed a line into bad press.

This month, Peterson filmed herself walking through a KFC and pouring blood all over the floor while playing animal cries on a megaphone. BuzzFeed reports it went very viral on Twitter, and instead of applauding her, most commenters saw Peterson’s action was mainly causing a major inconvenience to the workers at that KFC, who would have to clean it all up:

This ain’t veganism. Veganism requires respecting every living being on earth. This person has no respect for the minimum wage workers who have to clean this shit up. That does not coincide at all with the vegan philosophy.

being vegan isn’t what makes this bad. veganism is good however this is performative and unnecessary bc she’s interrupting the minimum wage workers when if she rly wanted to make a change she would go corporate to ppl who actually have control over their animal production.

The twist is that Peterson and her cronies did clean up the blood—but it sort of seems like police showed up to force them to do so:

Some other stuff Peterson has gotten into includes carrying a decapitated pig’s head through a butcher shop, and a lamb through a grocery store. She’s also banned in licensed pubs in Australia. You do have to wonder how a vegan is dragging dead animals around, but whatever.

It doesn’t seem like Peterson is remotely sorry for anything she’s done, because she mostly wants attention:

On her Instagram, she frequently compares eating meat to the Holocaust and rape, so it’s unlikely that she’ll be softening her opinions anytime soon.
