The incident took place at Frontier City, an Oklahoma City theme park, on April 30. Bailey Breedlove, whose Facebook profile identifies her as being from Durango, Colorado, documented what happened in detail.
She wrote about it on Facebook, describing it this way: “About 7 pm my daughter was yelled at by a park police officer for rolling down a hill on her heelies right next to me. Then she proceeded to follow me and grabbed my arm to turn me around and proceeded to tell me my shorts were ‘too short.’”

“I committed no crime and proceeded to walk to my boyfriend as I am autistic and have a hard time talking to officers,” she continued, alleging that the officer then followed her, “yelling and calling for backup.”
“Then your incompetent manager showed up and began body shaming me,” she wrote, directly addressing the theme park officials. “I was told I needed to go buy new shorts which I am not obligated to purchase anything I don’t want to.”
“Then I was threatened with criminal trespassing when I agreed to buy new shorts so my family could enjoy their vacation,” she continued. “I was then pushed and escorted toward the entrance. Accepting this, we were about to leave and were blocked by your female officer from leaving and she pulled out her cuffs and demanded my ID. When we asked for probable cause their answer was ‘because they are the police.’ At this point we started recording so we do have video of the unlawful tactics.”

She posted the video of the incident to her TikTok account, which has received more than 2 million views on its first three days on the platform. The video shows Breedlove and her daughter being detained by the officer, with the narrator saying, “They’re saying her shorts are too small.”
Right after, Breedlove tells the officer, “Look at what you’re doing to my daughter,” motioning with her hand to show the girl, who appears to be crying.

“Since when does Six Flags have a dress code?” one commenter asked. “Seems more like harassment to me.”
While many concurred with Breedlove, there was at least one dissenter, who wrote, “Just freaking cooperate! Why is it so hard?”
Breedlove responded directly, clapping back, “How ’bout not, as I wasn’t doing anything wrong.”
